Cookies Policy

How ipraccoon.com and the IP Raccoon dashboard use cookies and browser storage — what gets set, by whom, for how long, and the choice you have about it.

What this policy covers

Cookies are small pieces of data a website stores in your browser so it can remember something about you between pages or visits. This policy uses the word broadly: it also covers similar technologies such as localStorage, which keep data in your browser the same way and receive the same treatment under the ePrivacy rules.

It applies to both of our sites: the marketing site at ipraccoon.com and the dashboard at app.ipraccoon.com. The register below names everything either one stores in your browser.

Three kinds, one decision

Everything we store falls into one of three groups, and only one of them asks your permission.

Strictly necessary
What the product cannot work without: the token that keeps you signed in to the dashboard, and settings you chose yourself, such as the theme. These need no consent — refusing them would be refusing the service you asked for — but they are still listed below.
Analytics
Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, tells us how the site is used so we can improve it. The tag manager itself sets no cookies and collects no personal data — it only loads the tags listed in the register below. Nothing in this group is stored until you accept it in the consent banner: the default is off, and refusing changes nothing about how the product works.
Error monitoring
Sentry reports crashes and errors to us so we can fix them. It stores nothing in your browser — no cookies, no localStorage — but when something breaks it sends the technical details of the failure, including your IP address, to Sentry as our processor. That processing belongs to the Privacy Policy, not to this one.

The register

Every cookie and browser-storage entry either site sets, by name. The analytics rows exist only after you consent.

Your decision

The first time you visit, a banner asks whether to allow analytics. Nothing optional is stored before you answer, refusing is as easy as accepting, and either answer is remembered so the banner does not come back.

You can change your mind at any time from the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer, and the change applies immediately. Your browser can also block or delete cookies and site data on its own — just know that deleting the strictly necessary entries signs you out of the dashboard.

Third parties and transfers

The strictly necessary entries are first-party: they stay in your browser and are read only by us. The analytics cookies are set for Google, which may process the data in the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework; Sentry, our error-monitoring processor, is in the same position.

Who processes what, where, and under which safeguards is kept in the sub-processor register on the GDPR page, alongside the rest of our compliance documentation.

Changes and contact

When what we store changes, this page and the date at its top change with it — and a change that needs new consent re-opens the banner rather than assuming the old answer still holds.
